Intricate clothes and music are combined with beautiful body motions in traditional Thai dance. Thai dance can be performed in any of six different styles: khon, li-khe, ram wong, shadow puppetry, lakhon lek, and lakhon. The dancers' clothes are among the most unique features of this Thai art form. The garments continue to be gorgeous and ornate even though the quality of the designs has gradually degraded since their origins some centuries ago. They are made with gold and silver sequins as well as more exotic embellishments like beetle wings.
