POLE DANCE SHOW BOOKING

Pole Dance Show in Hong Kong and Bangkok

A tasteful, athletic pole act for club nights, product launches and private parties, with stage and pole rigging arranged by the agency.

Quick answer

A pole dance show in Hong Kong or Bangkok typically runs one performer for two to three songs, or two for a longer set with costume changes. Expect to pay roughly HK$8,000 to HK$18,000 in Hong Kong or THB 25,000 to THB 60,000 in Bangkok depending on performer count, set length and whether a freestanding pole rig is needed. Book at least two to three weeks ahead so the venue has time to confirm ceiling height and floor space for the pole.

1. The act

What you actually get with a pole dance show

A professional pole dance show is a choreographed routine built around strength, flexibility and control, not a strip act. The performers we book in Hong Kong and Bangkok come from competitive pole fitness and aerial backgrounds, the same world as aerial silk and lyra artists. Routines mix spins, inverts, holds and floor work set to music you choose or that we recommend for the room. Costuming is athletic and performance wear, not lingerie, and it is easy to brief toward a specific theme such as a fashion launch, a circus night or a Chinese New Year opening act with red and gold styling.

Most bookings are one or two performers. A single artist works well for a 10 to 15 minute spotlight slot during a club night or launch. Two performers allow a longer set with a costume change and more visual variety, which suits a main stage slot at a gala or a late night club takeover. We can also pair the pole act with aerial hoop, contortion or a dance crew from the same roster for a longer entertainment block, which is often cheaper than booking two separate agencies.

2. Pricing

Guide prices for Hong Kong and Bangkok

Price depends mainly on three things: how many performers, how long the set runs, and whether the venue already has a pole rig or we need to bring a freestanding one. A freestanding pole rig needs a flat floor, enough ceiling height and time to install before doors open, so it adds both cost and lead time. These are guide ranges only. Confirm the exact figure with a quote once we know your venue and date.

Harbour cruises and rooftop venues in Hong Kong, and Chao Phraya river dinner cruises in Bangkok, sometimes rule out a freestanding rig because of deck space or ceiling height, so confirm this with us before you lock the venue if a pole show is central to the night.

3. Technical needs

Stage, pole and power requirements

The two things that make or break a pole show are ceiling height and floor stability. A freestanding pole rig needs a minimum ceiling clearance, usually around 3 metres or more, and a hard, level floor it can be clamped or tensioned against. Carpet over concrete is fine. A raised stage with a soft or uneven deck is often not, so we ask for stage specs before confirming. If the venue has a permanent installed pole, as some clubs do, that solves the problem entirely and usually lowers the price since we are not transporting a rig.

Power needs are modest: one dedicated outlet near the performance area for a speaker or lighting cue, plus access to the venue's sound system or a DJ booth to feed music from a laptop or phone. Performers need 45 to 60 minutes before doors to rig, warm up and do a floor check. For hotel ballrooms and function rooms this is usually straightforward. For outdoor or rooftop spaces, wind and surface grip become the main variables, so flag those details early.

Where this act works best

In Hong Kong, pole shows book well in Causeway Bay and Lan Kwai Fong club nights, hotel ballroom launches, and as a novelty act on Victoria Harbour cruise charters where deck space allows. In Bangkok, the act suits rooftop bar launches, nightclub VIP nights in Thong Lor and Ekkamai, and hotel ballroom product reveals. It is a strong fit for brand launches that want a visual, photographable moment, adult-only private parties, bachelor and bachelorette nights, and circus-themed corporate events.

It is a less natural fit for traditional banquet weddings or family-heavy events, though we do book it for the party portion of a wedding after dinner, once the room has shifted to dancing. If you are planning a full wedding entertainment lineup rather than a single act, our wedding entertainment planning for Asia page covers how to sequence acts through the night. For corporate launches and gala dinners, see corporate entertainment in Hong Kong and Bangkok for how this act fits alongside a host, band or AV production.

5. Timing

How far ahead to book

Two to three weeks is comfortable for a standard booking. If you need a freestanding rig, want two performers, or your date lands near a major holiday such as Chinese New Year, Songkran or Loy Krathong, book four to six weeks out. Performer availability tightens fast around those dates in both cities because venues are running back to back events and the same small pool of qualified pole performers gets booked first.

Last minute requests, inside a week, are sometimes possible for a single performer with an installed venue pole, but options narrow and prices can run toward the top of the range. If your date is fixed and non negotiable, tell us that upfront rather than after we start checking availability.

6. Other cities

Singapore and Kuala Lumpur

We book the same act in Singapore, including venues around Sentosa and the Marina Bay clubbing circuit, and in Kuala Lumpur around the KLCC and Bukit Bintang nightlife districts. Pricing runs in SGD and MYR respectively and follows the same logic as Hong Kong and Bangkok: performer count, set length, and whether a rig needs to travel. During Hari Raya or Diwali, lead times in KL and Singapore stretch the same way they do around Chinese New Year in Hong Kong, so plan ahead if your date falls near either. Macau and Phuket are available on request, usually with a short additional lead time for performer travel.

If you are building a full night rather than a single act, it is worth looking at our dancer hire for Hong Kong and Bangkok page, since pole, aerial and dance crew acts are often booked together under one call sheet and one deposit.

The costly mistake: booking the venue before checking ceiling height and floor type for the pole rig. We have had clients lock a rooftop or a low mezzanine space, pay the deposit, then find out a freestanding rig cannot be installed safely. Send us the venue, or at least photos and a ceiling height, before you sign the contract if a pole show is the centrepiece of the night.

What to send us for a quote

To get an accurate quote fast, send the date, city, venue name or address, guest count, and roughly how long you want the act to run. Mention if you already know you want a freestanding rig, a particular theme or costume colour, or if you are pairing the pole show with live music. If you want a full night of entertainment rather than one act, our event management team can build the running order around it, and if you want a live band or DJ either side of the pole set, see live bands in Bangkok and Hong Kong.

How much does a pole dance show cost in Hong Kong or Bangkok?

A single performer with a venue's existing pole typically runs HK$8,000 to HK$12,000 in Hong Kong or THB 25,000 to THB 38,000 in Bangkok. Adding a freestanding rig or a second performer with a longer set pushes this toward HK$18,000 or THB 60,000. These are guide ranges, confirm the exact cost with a quote once your venue and date are set.

Is a pole dance show appropriate for a corporate event?

Yes, when framed correctly. Corporate pole shows work as a short spotlight act at launches, galas and circus-themed dinners, styled as athletic performance rather than nightlife entertainment. Costuming and set length can be adjusted to suit a more conservative corporate crowd. Tell us the audience and tone when booking so we brief the performer accordingly.

Does the venue need a pole already installed?

No. We can bring a freestanding pole rig to most venues, provided the floor is hard and level and the ceiling has enough clearance, usually around 3 metres or more. An installed venue pole is cheaper and faster to set up if the venue already has one, which is common in some clubs.

How long does a pole dance performance last?

A single performer typically does a 10 to 15 minute set, often two to three songs. Two performers can extend this with a costume change, running 20 to 25 minutes total. Longer sets are possible but most club nights and launches use a pole show as one spotlight segment within a bigger night rather than the entire entertainment.

Can you add aerial or other acts to the same booking?

Yes. Pole, aerial silk, lyra and contortion performers often come from the same talent pool, and booking them together under one call sheet is usually cheaper than hiring two separate suppliers. Tell us if you want a themed block, such as circus or fashion, and we will build a short run of acts to fit your timeline.

How far in advance should I book a pole dance show?

Two to three weeks ahead is standard. Book four to six weeks out if you need a freestanding rig, want two performers, or your date falls near Chinese New Year, Songkran, Loy Krathong, Hari Raya or Diwali, when venues and performers are in high demand across the region.
